27th August 2007

After fixing some problems and finding a couple of more, I have updated The To-fix List. I'm hoping to fix most or all of these through a completely fresh start with Gutsy Gibbon.

After a while of nothing, I've now updated the colour scheme on pointlessness and changed the content negotiation script to avoid errors in Konqueror.

As for the debug process, it appears to have stalled for now. I'm sure I'll get around to it in time, but aside from the test pages (which are very broken) the site appears to be working fine for now.

9th August 2007

I had intended to post this on the first anniversary of the original, but that passed on the 7th so I might as well post it now. The second part of The Beginning of the End, The Continuation of the End!

I've also fixed the test page index, so it now works again.

8th August 2007

I've decided to make August a 'debug' month for pointlessness, so I'm now going through pages on the site to make sure they're up-to-date and working correctly. Today, I've updated the FAQ, added a lists section, and updated all of the lists.

It's official. pointlessness has been going for one year now. It's been admittedly sporadic for a lot of that, but it's still here. To commemorate this event, I have spent the last few days writing an extended history of pointlessness. It really has gone through a lot of changes in a year.

2nd August 2007

Well, pointlessness is now coming up to being one year old. I'd better get to planning something!

Regardless of that, June news and articles have now been archived and a small new article has now been uploaded whichy may or may not form part of a series. Additionally, the big site recoding that I've been talking about recently should now be complete. Over the next month, I'll have to go through the site with a fine-toothed comb to make sure everything works right, and get around to updating some articles to reflect new developments.

Update: You may now see that the W3C CSS Validator generates an error while trying to validate this page (or any other page on pointlessness). I'm keeping the validation icon though, and I'll tell you why.
